Explore a possible answer
Ask what her proposal would change, then explain your concern with a specific example. Look together for a solution everyone can discuss.

In an everyday conversation, ask a question before giving your opinion.
Share responsibilities at home

Cooking, supervising homework and planning shopping take time. List the tasks together, including the planning involved. Share them according to availability, without automatically assigning them to women.

Patrick waits for his partner to assign every task. How can he do his share without leaving all the planning to her?
Explore a possible answer
They can agree that he will take full responsibility for one task. For meals, Patrick plans ingredients, cooks and tidies up. They then adjust the arrangement to their circumstances.

Together, choose a task for which you will also handle the preparation.

Girls and boys should be able to try the same activities. Offer varied roles and rotate them. Encourage effort and progress rather than supposed qualities linked to sex.

In a school group, only boys present the work. What arrangement lets everyone speak?

Plan speaking turns and rotate responsibilities with each activity. Give hesitant students time to prepare, without speaking for them.
